Robin is an experienced gifted and special educator, with an MEd in Educational Therapy.
Her Women of Roswell earned “Best New Play” at the Georgia Theater Conference,’06 Finalist at New York’s American Globe Theater, Kennedy Center participation following a ACT/KCT nomination, and Finalist for the David Mark Cohen National Playwriting competition. Paint!, Marc Chagall’s Colorful Musical Adventure, the 2007 National Children’s Theatre Festival winner, was produced at Coral Gables’ Actors’ Playhouse, and is published by Samuel French. Teachers, the Musical, winner of a Metropolitan Atlanta Theater award, will show at The Art Place, 9/17-8/20 and at Canton Theater, 11/12-11/20. Bullies, the Musical! will play at Cherokee schools Jan-May, 2016. Robin’s short stories have appeared in Creative Loafing and O’ Georgia. A Cobb County gifted teacher, Robin has served on the Advisory Boards of the Process Theatre and Working Title Playwrights. She participated in New York’s ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop, and DC’s Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive.

Bullied no more! Reinhardt University is hosting a free forty-minute musical for third through fifth graders which will come to your school at your choice date from January-May, 2016! Addressing Cherokee County’s bullying education objectives, Bullies, the Musical! will act as a catalyst in creating conversations around bullying behavior, bystander strategies, and mutual respect. As Arlene, the main character of the show’s Fifth Grade Talent Show, sings, “Saying Nothing is like Saying Something!”
AUDIENCE: Third grade on up. The musical is tailored for specific grade levels and audiences.
PROCEDURE: After viewing BULLIES, the MUSICAL! teachers will discuss bullying prevention strategies as outlined in the Bullying Talkback Handout.
GOAL: By creating a dialogue pertaining to bullying behavior and bystander strategies, the show will propel students and staff to heighten bullying awareness in a preventative, systematic, way.
HOW DO WE REACH OUR KIDS ABOUT THE MESSAGE OF BULLYING IN A COMEDIC, MUSICAL, WAY?
Popular students shun the non-perfect acts for their fifth grade Talent Show until they discover that what sets apart the outsiders can make for a perfectly different show!
